PROFESSIONAL
BIOGRAPHY
My professional goal is to
develop a high-quality barrel racing prospect into a
consistent willing winner that wants to run barrels and win
with any
level of rider. In doing this I
develop a plan for each horse and then set a goal
to
obtain. Here is a short list of horses that I trained for at
least 1 year that went on to be consistent winners:
- Fourfiftyfive Rocket
- Mr Moonie Man
- Heza Packin
- Jerrys Badger San
- Dash ta da Moon
- Lacy J Fame
-
Bahama Bully
-
Perks Alive
-
Shawnes French Bug
-
Fancy Man Perks
-
Pawn N Perks
PERSONAL
BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in Ohio with parents
that were trainers, farriers and
horse show
exhibitors themselves made it easy for me to develop
the same love for horses. At age 8, I got my first pony,
'Foxy'. He taught me a lot, but it wasn't until I got to
ride my dad's horse, 't heck', that gave me my first big
win. In 1985 we won the 13 and under at the
Ohio Quarter
Horse Congress and set a new arena record with a
14.8! After that, it was my dream to become a trainer.
While getting an education was
more important to my gram than me in my late teens, I opted
to become a cosmetologist and start a career that would
allow me to help people and have extra time to train my own
barrel horses. Eight years later in 1999, I moved to Ada, Ok
to be a full time
barrel horse
trainer for Danny Ray at Victory Farms and live in
the heart of
barrel racing country. After meeting
Ken Pruitt
at the Speedhorse Futurity in Shawnee, Ok, I quickly decided
to work and learn from an experienced man of the business
that has become a great friend as well. With god as my main
guidance in life, I have been extremely blessed to have
worked with top owners and the best bred horses in the
business!
